About
I’m a multimedia storyteller and media scholar, producing creative written and visual content on social sciences and creative arts. I’m currently working on a podcast with the Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy at McGill University on Children & Technology Policy as well as contributing to the Centre’s Media & Journalism and Platform Governance research streams.
As a multimedia journalist, I’ve gained broad experience creating engaging content for a wide range of audiences across digital and print media. I have produced writing, videography, photography, and design for reputable publications, including hard news documentaries with Vice News, written and edited pieces on the tech industry for Columbia Journalism Review and the Tow Center for Digital Journalism, and photojournalism for international travel guides. My photography was featured in a group exhibition in Kyotographie’s 2021 international photography festival and on the cover of the travel magazine Kansai Scene. I am also actively building my creative design skills for commercial publications and have been an Editorial Designer for Kyoto Journal’s print magazine since issue 94.
I hold a Master of Journalism from the University of British Columbia where I received a Graduate Scholarship to support my years of study and The Donna Logan Investigative Journalism Award in recognition of the reporting I did for my thesis, a longform project that explored how emerging technologies intermediate human relationships with virtual entities. An overview of my awards and fellowships is on my Publications page.
